What is an izakaya?
An izakaya (居酒屋) is a casual Japanese pub where people drop by after work for a few grilled skewers, some sashimi and a beer or sake, and relaxed conversation.
Unlike a formal restaurant, an izakaya is all about warmth and closeness — ordering small plates, sharing, lingering. That is the spirit EN pursues: a place to connect, just like the character 縁.
